W.E. ROCK, the World Extreme Rock Crawling Series; will hold their Grand National Rock Crawling Championships in Spring, Texas on September 14-16. An employee at my LHS suggested taking our RC Crawlers to the event. I am pretty sure there will be some good crawling areas out there. It is at the Spring Creek Offroad park. Go to www.springcreekoffroad.com for more information. Watching the 1:1 crawlers, some mud bogging, and doing some RC Crawling sounds like fun to me!

I coulda sworn I said I was gonna be there... maybe there was another thread. Hopefully on sunday. Although with the remote parking, I probably won't bring any R/Cs.

Very Nice Event!

Went Saturday, great weather, good turnout, very nice course, and a good time had by all. It was my first crawling event and I was very impressed. I couldn't believe how close to the action you could get! The crowd was in to it. I took my kids and they loved every minute.

I also took my sons AX-10 and he had a blast. (He didn't drive it much because of the line of kids asking for a turn. He is very sharing...lol) Those kids bashed the mess out of his truck and besides the axle pops...no issues. We even had a couple of camera crews tape our exploits. Perhaps we will see them somewhere.

I met a few RC enthusiasts but I didn't see any other trucks. It was quite an ordeal getting the truck out there (remote parking and a shuttle bus) but if I managed it they could. I had four kids (ages 1, 3, 7, and 10) with me…lol. I was worth it for me because it kept the kids occupied. I am sure on a regular day the local area crawlers could find tons of good crawl spots out there.
