After watching all the great builds on here I couldn't resist picking one of these up. I final caved! We do mainly trail runs with a lot of rock sections so there isn't a lot of opportunity for a ton of speed, which is why I'm leaning more towards the crawler/trail rig aspect of this rig, but hoping for some decent handling at speed.

Parts:
Roc412 3000 and RS on 3s
Hitec wp servo
Metal upper links
Rear sways
Locker up front
1.9 mayhem trail ready with legendary rings and .65 hubs
1.55 growlers
Dinky RC wraith roof v5 with light bar
Dinky RC wraith hood v3
Stock shocks, with green axial springs up front

Still waiting on some of the parts, so pics to follow.

Very excited for this build!

Lame straight out of the box flex shot... I have to say I am impressed with the flex, but the front is stiff and the rear is very soft.

My proto type V2 growlers! These tires are beautiful! They are just a touch smaller than stock, so I hope they fit well, otherwise the rock beasts are going on instead.

Sweet tires! The rear sway bar really does help out. I was constantly rolling mine at hard turns (traction rolling)- now its much better.

I finally got my MG200 tower in place, and I love the look. The fit is great and I think the 95mm is the right compromise between looks and function.

I put the locker up front, trimmed the roof and hood and got the electronics sorted out. I decided to try a 35t on 3s because I have a feeling this truck will be fun in the wet. If its not fast enough the roc412 will go in instead.

Just have to paint and put the rear sway on and it's good too go!

I was able to get this rig out for a test run and I was very happy. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of turning radius. I am hoping that someone comes out with a fix soon.

I bobbed the tail and think it look so much better now. Also added a honcho spare tire carrier in the back off of the battery tray.

I am running 2200 3s and the run time was shorter than I would have liked, so I might gear down a tad.

This thing climbs like a goat. I was pulling lines that all my other rigs struggle on with ease (and enough speed to jump off the top!)

Looks great, love the paint and wheel choice. Any pics of how your battery fits and the SCX spare tire mount?

Yeah, soon. I just ordered a different battery for it, so once thy shows up ill take some pics.

Does it lift one wheel in the air on hill climbs ?

A bit on really steep climbes if they are off cambre, but nothing like stock. I still need to tune the shocks, to get the front end to be a little more active.

Wow, those proto pits look perfect on that rig!"thumbsup"

Actually, those are 1.9 rock beasts. The growlers were a bit too small. I am going to try iroks on it with firm foams and see they handle at speed.
