TRX-4 stock servo horns

I purchased a TRX-4 Defender last year and it came with a metal servo horn instead of the plastic ones.

Today I received a TRX-4 chassis kit and it too came with a metal servo horn.

When did Traxxas upgraded the horns? I still hear/read about how weak the stock horn is.

I'm in Australia so maybe it's only for Aussie version? Did anyone recently got one and had metal horns?

It's a pleasant running change. My sport kit of almost a year ago came with the metal horn. I think all the trx4's do now.

My 2021 Bronco came with a metal one. I guess they realize that was a weak point and addressed it. Good for them.

My kit came with a plastic horn, no problem tho, both it and the servo were junked and swapped out for a SHV500v3 and a SSD Horn

I just purchased a TRX-4 Defender RTR and it's come with a metal servo horn.

At least that's one less part I won't be tempted to upgrade

Yea it would've been nice if the online description listed the metal servo horn. With all RC vehicles I've purchased the past 15+ years, I order/purchase metal servo horns at the same time. And I did the same with a TRX4 I purchased 3-weeks ago (March 2022).
When I came across the metal horn in the kit I was like, "Huh. That's cool. Wish I would've known that before ordering a metal servo horn."
So now I need another crawler to fit this extra servo horn. LoL. Haa haa haa.
