Not a crawler body but I finished this one up today. The pics don’t do it justice because there is a blue green light effect, then a mirror translucent back followed by a blue back and then black. The accents are colored on the outside by cutting the film. I should have used 1 cost of PS-49 and 1 of mirror chrome so that the blue would have been darker. Still like the look, it’s like a transformer FORD blue or something. This looks sort of like a bluish steel as opposed to paint. Think Delorian but with a kick of color. Happy to explain how I did it if anyone has questions. It would look cool on a power wagon or some other vintage bodies, bronco, etc.

Colors used in order of use:

1. Tamiya PS-49 (blue/green translucent) (2 coats)
2. Spaz Stix MIRROR CHROME (2 coats)
3. Tamiya PS-4 (blue) (2 coats)
4. Tamiya PS-5 (black) (1 coat)

Exterior bed, grill, etc. Rustoleum textured Matt black. I love this stuff because it relatively tough and it looks like scale Bed liner with is very slight texture. I spray it on my aluminum bumpers to good effect. You can see it on my TRX-4 bumper that I have poster on the forum.

Thanks. It looked pretty awesome running around this afternoon. I have a ProLine bronco body that I am going to use for my next custom build and I will use the same sort of treatment - only one coat of PS-49 and one coat of mirror chrome. Both of the colors are deceiving. The mirror chrome takes like 4 coats to really do the job. But it is as if even though you do 2 coats (which looks terrible if you want a chrome body - ask me how I know) of the mirror you don't get the benefit of the backing color.
