I'm working on some 3D printed window nets. Just need to make a couple minor tweaks. Don't mind the orange, it's what was in the printer at the time. Any suggestions on improving them?

I know it would the printing more challenging but I'd try making both the perimeter frame and the netting lines a bit narrower. Keep the proportion of the perimeter being wider but make them all a bit narrower.
Maybe down size the perim frame by about 1.5-2mm and the netting by about 0.5mm?
Just a thought.
Love the idea and TPU is the perfect material for it!

I've been thinking about the same thing. Currently the perimeter is 5mm and the netting is 2mm with 4mm holes. Thought about 2 or 3mm perimeter with .8 to 1mm netting so it's not just one line of filament. I'll have no problems printing the smaller net, spenqqt a lot of time getting my slicer tuned in.
I have tested out some thin straps using TPU and found that it sticks to itself incredibly well compared to PLA or PETG. You cant just cleanup the surface with a fingernail, you actually need a razor to remove any stringing which indicated to me it has great layer adhesion. I started off with a 1.25 or 1.5mm thick strap then thinned it out less and less untill it was .5mm or so and its still super tough.
What I'm trying to say is you can get away with a much thinner design with TPU than other filaments.

Looking at dozens of examples of window netting, for better authenticity I would make the grid or the squares bigger and eliminate the half squares on the rear portion.
Many don’t cover the entire window opening either, just mainly the area adjacent to the driver’s head, but yours could be a custom design and a driver’s preference.
You could also design some sag into your nets, but that’s probably overkill.
