Tire cutting tool

What is every one using to cut/sipe tires.. I've lost love for scissors....

I used wire snips/dremel with a cutting wheel.

Cut off wheel on a dremel...scissors will dull out and your fingers will probably start hurting after a couple of tires lol. Btw make sure you take your time and do this outside. Keep in mind when cutting off lugs remember less is more! The more tread you take off the softer the tire gets.

I use a pencil style soldering iron with a exacto knife blade on the end and it seems to work just like a real tire groover. heres a pic

Its not bad at all really I do mine in my hobby room and no one ever complains about the smell and its cleaner than a dremel tool is.

It would suckif the iron was on and you dropped it. Atleast it would coughterize the cut. I just use my lexan body scissors when I made some super tires and modded my micro tires, worked pretty well.

On tires with pins like Boss Claws I just use a nail clipper.

Did a quick cut on my TSL Swampers (aetna style)... took less than 5 mins per tire... i might go back and clean em up with a wire wheel, but was in a hurry...

i use ingrown toe nail clippers, they are straight edge and extremely sharp..10 bucks at walmart

Lexan body scissors are my choice for cutting lugs...on pin tires and others as well.
