What did you think of the trails up there? I grew up there, noticed you went camping.
well, i stayed at the camp ground on lake onasanmakia, something like that, but the lake levels were pretty high, and thats how i was mudding, i did see some 4wheeler trails though. I wanted to check those out, but i was up there with some friends.
I don't think the set screws are locktited at the factory. Check them all and locktite them

ya, I problably should have locktited them when i got home. I lost the stupid thing again, and couldnt find it. but i e-mailed them asking for a new spline shaft.

easy way to clean it is to run it through some tall grass or weeds when your done playin in the mud.that'll get the bulk of it off
or wait till no one is lookin, throw it in the dishwasher. be ready to catch hell if caught though.

simple green and the sprayer on the kitchen sink works great also

Well my truck needs grease, and I thought it would be a goooood time to do it. Trust me it needs it. Thanks for the tip man "thumbsup"

the pics you showed of the drive shaft doesnt look like a stock drive shaft
It's not,if you look in my upgraded section of my first post, you will see that i have asiatees cvds.

UPDATE:

sorry im a little late on the update... It took longer than I thought.

This its how i started:
IMAG0112.jpg

I stared by taking off my rear axle:

I got this far, and smelled lake, and thought... crap.
IMAG0116.jpg

then i got to here, ant i didnt think it was that bad :ror::
IMAG0117.jpg

I took apart the diff locker, cuz i had some slop so I took the spur gear apart, and look what i found:
IMAG0118.jpg

thats the rust stain from the locker...

So I lubed her up:
IMAG0120.jpg

Put her back togather:
IMAG0121.jpg

This is about as naked as she got:
IMAG0122.jpg

lubed the other one up, and cleaned most of it:
IMAG0124.jpg

I didnt put it all back togather cuz i wanna make a new servo mount.
thanks for looking "thumbsup"

You really did pack that axle. That will cause drag and can possibly make your motor start running warmer. Looks like you were over due for some though lol. What I did was take some foams from like the ball/ball cups from buggies (not the exact foams used but that type of foam) and coated it (3 on each side of the diff) with marine grease and then lubed the diff. It keeps all the dust and water from getting to the diff. The only time I pack axles is if I'm doing a come where the is tons of water and mud but I'm sure to un-pack it when the day is done.

Ya, thats what I was using. But it didnt work very well for me. I am going to make a different one.

Ya, I was thinking I had it a little too packed. Ill take it apart tomarrow, and post up what I will use for my new cms. And for thats foam trick, can You post
Ant pics? Maybe my dad can pick up some of that foam from work.

UPDATE: new cms, and put togather!

Here is the paper mock up:

Here it is in metal:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/H5kaiwovbB_w7oU66Ck3tdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a_P32B4DsQU/UCwi3DBHtsI/AAAAAAAAAH4/1fiaFeOQrzI/s400/IMAG0127.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>
Here she is boulted to the Chassis:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/wGXs5tbYl5FgPwBopa905dMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dm8IsJfS-aY/UCwi6uCgxRI/AAAAAAAAAIA/Ornvparo7gQ/s400/IMAG0128.jpg" height="400" width="267" /></a>
Now the servo doesnt hit the axle:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MGTRhmKvR_eWoym9JPxSkdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QXaBRzVuj0I/UCwjApZe3TI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/RGWnC9qZYE4/s400/IMAG0130.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>
This is how it looks:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/D4SlOg84XDFZxAESUSkL-9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-oVP6mWM_Lt4/UCwjDS_k0NI/AAAAAAAAAIY/_rNv3b9fejw/s400/IMAG0134.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>
I think i might have to make a bent steering link, it hits the chassis when I flex to the passenger side.

this is hoe I had the esc mounted at first:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/fgfTSTzI_pwK7Qh9hRk1LtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BRljfriHpnA/UCwjVbS9E7I/AAAAAAAAAI4/AqGBTHjHwRs/s400/IMAG0138.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>

this is how i have it now, its perfect for my set up:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/-2qNsEBI_ABUb_z_YfMuD9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-SZi3dCgYj7Y/UCwjdW6DaGI/AAAAAAAAAJo/6VvubTtWpFM/s400/IMAG0139.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>

Here is my flex, about 5 inches:
<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/GyrP8TZ8p4wjJvjcD6Gwf9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-vbfK1DmIB_c/UCwjM9F4EqI/AAAAAAAAAIw/5axxNhTvxS0/s400/IMAG0137.jpg" height="267" width="400" /></a>
I think i need wheel weights.

Right now, I'm using one slash plastic drive shaft, and one asia tees drive shaft: is this bad? I just wanted a front drive shafts so I could have 4 wheel drive at my grand parents house tomarrow.
And I took some grease out of the diffs, its a lot smoother now.
And I think I might go back to my stock esc, and like a 20t holmes hobbies torque master. By bro is bugging me about buying his xl-5 back, and I kinda like the drag brake, and I can still use a good motor.

Im going to my grand parents today, and ill get some pics up of it, there is a little watter fall by their house that i want to try.

Maybe ill have a vid up.
