Hi, i'm a very happy owner of tekin pro4 3300 with Rx8 Esc, some days ago i ordered a 4000kv for my wraith, does anyone try it on 3s? Impressions? I also ordered a smaller pinion: 11t with 58t spur..
Thanks in advance
Angelo

I think the word is KABOOM.
Those motors will destroy short course drive trains, I would love to see how his drive shafts came out....

I was told by a guy at Tekin that 3s is too much for the 4000kv motor. I have the 4000kv setup with a RX8 esc and will run it on 2s. Hope to have it running in a few days.

I'm leaning towards the 3300 on 4s. more for crawling and quick short bursts of speed... TTC! geared 12/58 and I think it'd be a little rocket ship and have butter smooth low end. My scx/ar60 is beefed up as much as one can make it lol. Just need a rear MIP and it's as strong as it'll get. Of course when axles start coming out those I'm sure will be a must have too.

I have a 4000kv Pro4 in my Wroncho Supreme Taco and its fast on 2s!!! I was going to run it on 3s but after what I saw 2s will be plenty. I'm also running 11/58 gearing with 38t HD ring gears, which is stock axle gearing for a wraith. I ran in the driveway for a few minutes and the temp was cool and had great bottom end. Im using a Mamba Max Pro ESC on Smart Sense setting. It has the slightest chug but you can hardly tell it. Also its very very hard on the drive train to go 20mph and full stop in a micro second. I can only imagine what it would do on 3s. Like said in an earlier post KABOOM!!!!!!! I'm thinking of setting the drag off 213% and try only 100% to see if it helps. I would also decide what your weak point is going to be. Mine is a "bullet proof" machine except for the Traxxas TMAXX drives shafts. THey are easy to come by and very cheap. Hope this helps a little for ya in Italy!!
