This is not going to be a normal modern buggy build..

I bought this B6 from a friend Michael at Valkyrie RC. It is highly optioned out, and the price was more than right after the eBay 10% discount they had the other day.. he raced it on carpet in 17.5 stock class, my plans are to convert it to a dirt/clay, and race sportsman class, and MAYBE try the mod class MAYBE.

It is a very clean buggy as is, but my plans are to tear most of it down for a good cleaning. Like what should happen to all used RC's you buy. My plans are not with the norm here, and I don't plan to upgrade much, just clean rebuild the dif/shocks/transmission. Still need to figure out gearing - the clutch comes with 81t, and 84t spurs, and I think the 81t is the biggest that will fit the laydown trans. I'm leaning on 16-20t aluminum pinion from Robinson. The plan/part/upgrades (or downgrades depending on how you look at it) -

Maintenance/ drivetrain upgrades-
Rebuild the shocks using Traxxas X rings
Install new brown front, and green rear springs
Clean/regrease the trans
Figure out which differential it has and rebuild it
Clean/regrease the CVD's
Install Avid ceramic bearings
Remove Exotek direct drive, and install Avid Triad mod clutch
Install Robinson aluminum pinion in 16-20t
Install new Avid yellow wheels
Install new Jconcepts super soft green compound Diamond Bar front tires
Install new Jconcepts super soft green compound 3D rear tires

Electronics -
Hobbywing 1080 OR vintage Novak GT7 race spec
Rewire GT7 with TQ wire (if used)
Team Brood 12t race spec brushed motor w/ ceramic bearings
JX PDI-5508MG high speed servo (114oz/in at 6v, .07 speed at 6v)
FlySky 2.4 radio

Body -
Jconcepts S2 light weight B6 body
Reproduction RC10 Mirage SS scoopless body
Jconcepts 6.5" wing
Unknown front wing (it came with the buggy and is clean so I'm reusing it)
Have gold pan RC10 rere decals for the B6 body
Plan to buy MCI Racing RC10 decals for the RC10 classic body OR make it a more modern style body

Still need -
Robinson pinion
MCI Racing decals (maybe)
Gear or ball diff rebuild kit
Ceramic bearing kit (saving up for it now)

Got the buggy and after 3 or so more parts orders (dang lol), have all the parts coming to call this build started, and done. So for now I'm studying how this buggy works, watching video's, and reading the manual a ton.

All I have done is mock up a brushed motor, servo, and the battery. Took the body/wheels off, and took the 175RC chassis protector off, as well as the body velcro on the chassis side rails (which the right side was glued on, so new side rails and a few other things were ordered..)

Ordered some new parts from a parted out B6.1 kit -
Side rails w/ a bunch of random chassis parts/hardware including new chassis foam, and servo parts
Rear arm mounts, w/ hinge pins(all), and rear arm mount inserts
Front and rear gull wing arms w/ shock mounts

More pics soon!
