Tamiya paint question!

Ordered some paint for my Gelande Land Cruiser and noticed an issue with the white! Ordered some Tamiya Dark Yellow for the body and some racing white for the roof! The Dark yellow is spot on with the cap color, but the racing white does not match! The cap color I got has more of a off white creme color to it, but is labled what I ordered! Used the same primer on the body as the test piece and the paint looks brighter than it does on the cap! The test piece seems to have more of a grayish to it! I want a white white color for the roof! What color Tamiya paint should I order for the roof? Thanks for your help!

Indeed, the "Racing White" is a bit more of an off/cream white. You would want TS-26 "Pure White" for a normal white paint. I have that paint for a border patrol painted D90 and it for sure is a bright, crisp white.

racing white is blended with yellow which is the norm for oldschool racing car bodies. also you may want to use a white primer instead of gray... it would be best to use an airbrush for hardshells, rattlers produce thicker coats.

I ended up using the racing white on the roof and and looks a lot better than it did on a test piece! Must be the thickness of the plastic!
