Got a issue with a mamba X that if I use Aux mode and a sensor cable together I get a the Aux Glitch beep fault, if I unplug the sensor cable it goes away and Aux works fine, if I turn Aux mode off then sensor mode works fine, I just can’t run them together?! I tried all sort, but getting no where....

Older firmware
Reflashed newest firmware
New sensor cable
Different ports on the rx
Different sensor and wiring harness

Any idea guys???

My suggestion to both of you - call Castle support. They can walk you through trouble shooting the issue, and, in all probability resolving it. If they are unable to resolve it, then, chances are, your units are detective, and need to be replaced. Recently, there was an entire run of Mamba Monster X units that were not only detective, but the defect was related to a similar matter. It is possible that the same defects occurred in a run of the standard Mamba X.

I’m in the UK so it’s not that straight forward to speak direct to Castle and I bought the esc from Asiatees, because there was no stock in the UK, I’ll fire them both off a email and see if either can help

It is worth a try, although, troubleshooting the email can be difficult, and take extremely long times...but, it's better than nothing. You could check Castle's UK website, to see if they have european-based phone support.

What a load of shit, took my b-link off the esc and now it’s dead wtf
Like I said, sounds similar to the problem that occurred with the batch of MMXs that my previous unit came from. I know of at least two other people who have the same problem. On the plus side, Castle replaced them, no charge.

I’ve started a Warranty RMA with castle, shame it’s £31 to ship it to the US
'Small' price to pay, compared to purchasing a new ESC. Just remember, "defective when new" can, technically, happen with almost anything...cars, TVs, computers (of which, in a manner of speaking, an ESC sorta-kinda is), you-name-it.

The 'sad' thing is when it happens to an entire production run. In the case of my MMX, I suspect it happened to all units produced (probably several hundred) during that run, for, when I called their super, they appeared to already be aware of the problem, as they didn't even bother trying to 'repair' the ESC...they just replaced it. However, due to damage caused to the motor because of the defect within the ESC is they did have to repair the motor (which would be why, when talking with them on the phone, they said to ship motor & ESC together).

Turns out some of pins for the sensor/rx harness on the esc had resin on them making bad connections

Makes sense. I know that the (new) replacement I received works great.

I’ve got another that works absolutely fine, just one of those things I guess, it was dealt with promptly and in professional manner, so no complaints here "thumbsup"
