stock tire and foam insert question

Different model but I've removed the foam from the front tires on our Everest 10 and it has definitely improved its traction to pull itself over obstacles. Also lowers its front center of gravity a bit which helps too. The stock tires and foams are too bouncy and firm and aren't really able to grab the obstacles.

So I did glue the tires without any foams and they hold the weight of the truck up fine. I put 2 vent holes in each tire and taped off the vent hole in the wheel. The truck was together enough for a shake-down run and I got to say, the tires are grippier than I expected.
