Spektrum DX3E Aux toggle for winch

I'm using the Spektrum DX3E radio which has a Aux toggle that I'm using for my servo winch. Right now when you hit winch out or in the winch continues to move when you let off of the toggle. I would like it to turn off when the toggle is released.
Right now to stop it you have to hit the toggle in the opposite direction. Seems logical to have the toggle on when engaged and off when released.

Anyone know how to hack this? I read the manual and I do not see where I can change this with the included switches.

Not to much to be able to hack on this radio from what I remember. Your real issue is called servo creep. It's very common with servos that have been converted to winches because it is trying to find center. There are details left out of your question, so I'm assuming you have the TX AUX ch.3 set to 3p vs 2p-Linear. trim set to zero, etc.

What I did was searched, because there are tons of threads on similar issues.
This thread should help you:

You'll most likely need to get a servo winch controller, or trim the 3rd channel every time you winch in-out and experience creep. I hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Rockhugger!

Yes I have the TX AUX ch.3 set to 3p vs 2p-Linear. trim set to zero, etc.

I don't have creep, just wanted to change how the trigger works on my radio but I'm probably just dreaming and it's just not built that way lol

Thanks that 2nd link is just what I was looking for.
