Shocks RTR vs kit-build

After a few rounds with different cars we have found that the Axial SCX10-based scale-crawlers are the best IMO and they also have the fastest growing market here in Sweden.

We love our first Axial, a Honcho RTR, that moves around beautifully over rocks and lumbs. It behaves nice and soft as a scaler shall do.

Now we have build a kit of the Axial Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. According to parts, colors of springs etc. the only differens should be that the Honcho shocks (plastic) are RTR and the Wrangler (aluminium) I have build. I have build the Wrangler ones as the manual say with the 30wt oil.

Here is the problem. We find the Wrangler much more stiff!!

Questions:
1. What may be the differens?
2. How can we solve this problem?
3. Is it possible to buy ready build shocks as the Honcho RTR? Art.no.?
4. Third-party soft skocks? Recommendations?

Hope for your answers and advice
Thanks in advance
