Have more servos than you do channels? Want to run a remote light switch and a winch but can only plug in one or the other?

Maybe you need a Servo Toggle Switch 8)

Made using 22 gauge servo wire and a switch with 5 amp contacts!

Plug it into a channel on your receiver and then connect the two items that you want to operate into the two switched outputs. Move the toggle switch to send the power and servo signal to either output.

How would this work with say one of your winch controllers and a 2 speed tranny? Wouldn't the EPAs be off for the winch or do those not really matter with your winch controller?

I have a twin hammers with a 3racing winch. The winch currently operates from its own receiver and battery via a wireless car remote. My 2spd trans operates from the 3rd channel on my DX3C. I don't always use the 2spd tranny because I mostly comp, but occasionally like to go fast so I don't want to give up that 3rd channel to just my winch. I would love to be able to use that 3rd channel for both my winch and tranny but I don't know if the EPAs would be weird on the winch having been set up for the tranny servo.

The two position channel winch controller isn't very fussy about end points and should work fine with how you have the channel set up for shifting.

For example if I hook up my LEDs and a winch. If I toggle the switch to go from LEDs to the winch, will my LEDs then turn off? or will they stay on?

This switch actually switches both power and servo signal. If you were to use it like you described, you would see the LEDs turn off.

Are your LEDs connected through some kind of RC switch? If they are not switched, you could just use a Y cable to get power to both your LEDs and your winch. The LEDs would be on as long as your receiver is powered up.

Oh my LEDs are connected to the receiver so they are fine. I was just curious about the operation, and after re-reading the initial description you do mention power AND signal are swtiched so thats just my mistake for missing that =)

Would the lights stay on?

If yes, then would you be able to make one of these with 3 positions...and finally, control which position it's in with one of your OTHER channels? Like using your 3 position winch controller to select which to control?

If you use that particular switch, then yes, you would need a second winch controller.

But, it you just got a switch, you could use one winch controller and switch its output to feed one winch or the other.

Leave your winch plugged into one channel and use this light controller in the other channel:

That light controller needs a three position channel. Flip that channel to the left and back to center to toggle light number one. Flip that channel to the right and back to center to toggle light number two. That's an awkward way of saying that you could have one or the other or both lights on or off.

I need to feed the lights with 12v and a decent amperage, both will be MORE LLC equipped lights from VP. One a set of Q series and one a 5" bar.

Just add the letters EXT to the part number.

Yes, this part is still available.

It sounds like you want to run two winch controllers. I have another idea that might save you some money.
You can think of the switch as having one input and two outputs. If you run the output of the winch controller to the input of a switch, you can then run the two to your two winches. This way you only need to use one winch controller.
