SCX24 Metal Transmission Housing and Gears

Hello all,

I am going to pick up a couple SCX24 Metal Transmission Housing and Gear assemblies and was wondering if there is much of a quality difference between the Hot Racing unit, the $20 - $25 Amazon Specials and then of course there are the more spendy versions...

I have the HR and another metal trans housing. The brand name of the other one is LoCo, whatever that means. They are both quite nice looking but they are both of good quality compared to the plastic pieces. I don't regret either purchase.
