Okay, I need another project like I need a hole in y head...But started gathering parts anyway...

I will likely keep this as the "build" thread and have a question regarding metal axle housings and associated internal parts.

I see the prices vary pretty widely from about $25 per axle housing, on up to around the $50 mark. Is there a large enough difference between the $25 Yeah Racing Housings and the more expensive Hot Racing housings and the CNC version of the Yeah Racing housings?

With having 3 axles, I'd rather not buy all the most expensive stuff...

I have enough rigs, that one rig does not get all the abuse, all the time, so I think just about anything I build will last a long time.

With all the other irons in the fire, this will likely take a back seat regarding finishing, but if I have parts on hand, I can at least start some of the assembly.

Well, last night I pulled the trigger on 3 stock axles. It will help me with the mock-up, was a bit less expensive and now I have all the internals for when I grab the aluminum housings later.

I will likely use a new front and rear axle assembly on the C10 build for the wife and then use my old set of axles and a third new rear assembly on the 6x6.

That way, she gets new shiny stuff "thumbsup"
