Figured I'd make a thread because I couldn't find anything about this chassis when I was researching my build .

The conversion seemed a little daunting at first but you really just have to remove everything that's not a rock racer and then attach the new chassis. The hardest part was routing the wires (tweezers or tiny fingers are helpful) and choosing battery/ESC location. There are also a multitude of options for shock placement.

Overall I'm very happy with the chassis, only real change I made was adding a C10 bumper mount (upside down) on the front for more clearance for the servo vs the default crossmember.

And finally for a size comparison, here it is next to my RC4WD 1/18 D90, SCX24 Jeep, and Mini-Z Jimny.

Fantastic video... probably the coolest basement course I've ever seen. And the conversion is just sick. Great job on everything.

With this chassis, is there much of a performance increase over stock, or is it mostly looks?

I have one of those chassis kits too! I did 4WS and used a mix of deadlbolt rear links with C10 front links for an extended wheelbase.

I just wish I could add the surpass motor to it somehow. The 050 works pretty good though! "thumbsup"
