Hey.

I got a scx10 III. And I love it, but time have come to do something new. Do you guys think it will be posible to make the scx10 III axels fitt a VS4-10 CHASSIS KIT and VFD TRANSMISSION ??

Following. I have been looking at this as well. Mostly, I just want to run a VFD in the 10.3... If I have to chassis swap to do that, I may...

I was playing around with this trying to build my class one, different frame halves. I’m sure it will work but it will take some fiddling. If your using the vfd in that vanquish frame, its just a matter of link lengths, if you using the vfd in the 10.3 frame, it will take some grinding on the skid or frame rails to make it fit in, probably drill a few more holes in the frame.

Its also a matter of those links clearing the tranny at full compression and the offset front axle locating the link mounts in a good spot. It is very tight.

My thoughts are you have a complete truck, why not make another instead of scrapping 75% of the 10.3?

Exactly why I’m keeping the 10.3 a trail truck, the JLU body is heavy, its complete, it has a high motor position and a pretty body, so just keep it as it. But i have a few vanquish frame builds already so..

Old post I know  but I have/use a vs4-10 chassis with vfd twin trans with the AR45 axles from a scx10iii. Works great (y)
