Don't worry, the pics will start rolling in when parts/goodies start arriving.

Shhh..im trying to beat Harely's Build thread record for no pics..

:lmao:

Just sayin...

The king shocks kinda suck. I tried everything (multiple rebuilds) to get them to work right at full throttle, and they never really worked like a true track shock.

If this is indeed a u4rc racer, the kings are not the answer. I wish they were.

Kings do bring the suck. Piston diameters are too small. Ive been loving big bores with two stage pistons on my U4 wriath. On that rig, ill sacrifice some looks for performance.

Our tracks are not the same as the westcoast boys...
keep that in mind.

Our Arkansas tracks have more technical sections than flat track and jumps.

If I were to go out west and race, yea id have to change up motor and shock setup.

Same if they were to come out here.

Ive been messing with the kings for awhile and id like to think ive got a good tuning system going.

If it's gonna be a Scale race rig it needs scale shocks.
And I think something new is coming in that area anyway..;-)

Kyosho. I also agree in certain cases (racing), performance beats scale as far as diameter of shocks.

Just run dual shocks like I did out back on my U4. Crappy scale shock that does nothing and big bore that does all the heavy work. Bingo, solved your problem, repeat up front.

I happen to think the bigbore lathed down look right as home on a 1.9 rig. It's all personal likes and dislikes but even in a tech heavy section the bigbores will out do the smaller pistons.

It's that give take that we will never win. Just like the refrigerator (warpig quote) that we strap to the top of our axles. But how long as it been since someone built a 1:1 full tube rig with a steering box?

Trying to help your reply count here......

“My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in RCcrawling.”

“We agree on reforms that will finally reduce the costs of Rc parts. Families will save on their Rc's”

"I don’t want to pit Comp America against Scale America..”
