Well.. My Friends, heinie_21 and steele42 have talked me into getting a SCX-10 honcho kit. heinie had his eye on this kit at his LHS, and picked it up for me. Thanks heinie! I have been into other types of rc's with these two, but this will be my first scale crawler build.

My plans are to get the kit built and crawlin with only stuff that i already have. That way i can have a better idea of what i want, instead of going and buying a bunch of stuff right off the get go.

Oh and i am actually further along than what i will be updating. I'm just wishing that i had started this build thread when i actually started building.:x


When i got the kit from heinie_21, he had already opened the box! So if there is anything missing, I know where it went. :wink:

I wish that EVERY time i build a rig lol. I'm even procrastinating starting my thread for the bronco lol!

only thing i took out of the box was the esc, rx/tx, servo and battery, thats all!

oh and i swapped your flat-irons out for a little bit softer compound flat-irons. happy birthday

Servo: trx 2055

I want to have a decent body for wheelin this weekend. Looks like all i have is a little yellow and a little black paint (more yellow).

Looks like the honcho is going to be yellow with a black bed.

I'm not sure i even have enough yellow. Maybe if i do the front fenders a different color i will haha.

Its really yellow! I'm really not a fan of bright colors, but hey its all i had.

Had some primer grey for the fenders

Looks like i need to paint the primer gray on the outside. Too shinny.

This place is 30 mins from my house. Its called "Triassic". We go Trials riding there all the time. I took the honcho along this time.

Hey i found your build thread! This place looks sweet! Haven't tried there yet. We're going to have to hit this up on one of these warm winter days. You'll also love crystal geyser on a warm winter day. :mrgreen:
