I bought two RC4WD snow plows, one each for my wife and I. My wife has a trx4 Defender and I have a trx6 G63. Both vehicles have a Traxxas winch with key fob control. Both vehicle receiver’s control channels are full. I don’t want to give up diff locks, or two speeds, I don’t want the blades to swivel with wheels, I want them to swivel independently, so they can be set to left, right or center. I don’t want to buy two new 7 channel radios and receivers just to run the plows in winter.
I need a servo swivel control solution, one servo for my plow; two servos for my wife’s super plow.
I don’t want to carry around a second full transmitter just to swivel the plow; a key fob similar to the winch’s would be optimal.
Winch controllers would be perfect, EXCEPT they don’t use a control signal, they just cycle power, forward, backward and stop. They could be used to swivel the plow, BUT I would have to rip out the circuit boards and turn them into dumb DC motors.
TLDR: Is there a wireless/ Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth servo control solution that uses an actual servo and some kind of simple key fob type controller or cell phone, that doesn’t require me building my own Anduino transmitter and receiver.
I can’t be the first person to have this problem; I am surprised RC4WD doesn’t have an off the shelf solution for this. It wouldn’t be any more difficult than a winch controller.
