Anyone running, or has tried RC4WD's 4-ch light remote?

I am starting to add to my collection of 1/14 scale construction equipment. Each one of these rigs come with their own remotes, which are a bit cheesy, but they get the job done.
I want to do two things with these rigs. First, most of these have lights that only come on when you are actually moving, which is annoying. I want to be able to control when these lights are turned on and off. Second, I want to add more lighting to these rigs and be able to control them from the remote.
When I first started building this collection I had thoughts of controlling them from my DX6x, but that would mean only being able to run one at a time. So, just adding a separate 4-ch remote to just control the lights seems like a cheap fix.
The bucket loader I just bought might actually be the one rig that gets controller with the DX6x. It has one ESC pushing power to both axles, and had a significant case of Clod-stall when you are trying to push through a dirt pile to load the bucket. Might have to drop a couple of HW1060s, and when I am in there, it will, for the most part, get completely rewired.
As far as this controller goes, it looks good for the price. But, it kills me that RC4WD still includes a power adapter with a Tamiya plug.
