Was bored in the shop yesterday, so I decided to weigh some sections of metal commonly used on rc cages, not sure if this is helpful (or already posted somewhere) just though I'd post it up for anyone who's wondering what the weight differences would be.

Weighed each in 1" sections, scale only does full grams, so not extremely precise.

3/16" solid rod - 4 grams per inch
(.14 oz, according to Google conversion)

3/16" brake line - 3 grams per inch
(.11 oz rounded up [.105822 exact]

1/8" solid rod - 3 grams per inch
(.11 oz rounded up)
