Hello community. Got a specific question regarding the radiolink rc8x and dig on an moa rig, searched the website, didn't see anything so figured I'd just post...

Is there a way to set up dig on one of the 2 way button channels so the dig is either engaged or not engaged? Or less desirable, on a 3 way switch channel so there's front/both/rear axle engaged?

I've seen a member's YouTube video about setting up the rc8x with dig and overdrive. For some reason the idea of using 1 channel to disengage an axle and another channel to re-engage it seems...off. would prefer to just have it on a button so when I press the button, the rear axle disengages. And when I let off the button, the axle re-engages. Seems the most logical to me.

You can set up the 2 way channels like that. Here's how.

Text version:
- Basic menu (2nd icon on side, transmitter icon)
- Switch select
- Far right column under "type", tap the channel you need to change "lock" to "jog". For me, it was button PS5 (top button on grip) to channel 3 to function through headlight brightness with my MyTrick RC LEDs. With it set to jog, just a quick tap changes the headlight setting. But on the remote itself, it visually shows the channel being activated according to how long you hold the button down.

So I watched more YouTube videos and messed with the rc8x for about 30 minutes last night. Got my overdrive and dig set up....just don't like how the dig is set up, requiring 2 different buttons/switches. One to disengage an axle and one to re-engage it.

I found no way to set up a temporary button press for dig (press button, disengage an axle. Release button, re-engage the axle.) Also couldn't find a way to set it up on a 3 way switch (front axle/both axles/rear axle).

It seems like the mixing function is set up in a way that you can't assign a switch to do more than 1 thing. For example, you assign a switch to disengage an axle, that's it. You can't it to also re-engage the axle. Correct me if I'm wrong... I'd like to be wrong infact. Haha

I have the older RC6GS and it has 2 3way toggle switches on it and its pretty easy to do.
Maybe check out Exocaged RC, he has the RC8x and has some vids covering programming, Ify ou ask a question in his comments, he generally tries to answer then pretty quick. I am looking at a new radio myself, and almost jumped on the RC8 last year, but didn't. think I'll get a MT12 and deal with the Programmign nightmare a bit. lol

I've watched exocaged's video. His dig is set up the same way mine currently is. I'll mess with it some more at a later time. Maybe there's been a firmware update that allows more customization, haven't updated it since I got it over a year ago

Crawler Canyon just released a video today utilizing the rc8x and trying to get dig on a momentary button push. He couldn't figure it out either haha. He ended up with dig the same way every other video I've watched has it, 1 channel to disengage an axle, another channel to re-engage it. It's just how the mixing is done on it I guess
