Questions on some bodies in regards to WB for my TRX4 (Bronco)

Jconcepts Raptor, I really like the look of this one and the wheel openings look really large for clearing all the great 4.7" tires out there.
I've heard this was a 12.3 WB, but can never seem to find confirmation

Then looking at both the 93' and 84' Ford bodies they say 12.5 WB which seems like an odd size to me. I used to have a 1989 F150, so those kinda' appeal to me.

The 79' F250 says 12.3 though and I would be fine with that one.

I would prefer to stay with the 12.3" WB that my Bronco came with. I have no problem trimming the inner fenders. I am not stuck on going with a Ford body (just no GM suggestions please). I looked at some of the proline Jeep bodies, I like some of those as well.

I want to stay wide enough to not have my tires sticking out more than half tread width. I am running G-made steelies with 2mm positive offset, so that helps a little. That said, a rounded nose body like on the raptor would probably help in some tight spots, but I do NOT like the bodies that have the narrowed front and rear at all.

I wheel the heck out of my trucks, they won't stay all pretty for very long. There's LOTS of shoe goo and drywall tape in the current bronco body and the corners of it are getting worn rather thin.

Thanks. I looked all through it but didn't see anything on the raptor body. It seemed like a lot of the trucks in that thread were the land rover LWB trucks and many were shortened, but no mention as to what WB they ended up at.

Yeah, that raptor body is very interesting looking lol. It’s for a slash, so I doubt the wheelbase is a 12.3” or even close.

How come you want to stay 12.3”? It would be very easy to go to a 12.5”, just get some Traxxas Jato long rod ends. And for a 12.8”, they sell a kit for it.

You can have any wheelbase between 312mm and 336mm, basically. Check out traxxas parts 8149, 8150, 8057. If you mix and match these parts, you can sort out any wheelbase.

I'd prefer to stay with the 12.3" WB because I like it. I understand that I have options for changing it, but I'd rather not. I'd rather use a body that is 12.3" if I can.

As for why?... well that's what suites the terrain I run on. I have wheeled with the defender and they tend to get hung up a lot due to break-over angle.

As for the Raptor body, yes it's for a slash, but it's undersized, not a true short course body. You can see in the other pics that it fits on an OG SCX10 just fine. A few years back I saw one in person and it looked really good. If I remember right, the guy said he had the honcho WB, which I do believe is 12.3", but it's nice to confirm things.
