EDIT. Adding this to the beginning to clarify I guess. Read the rest if you want to understand what I am trying to do.
I just found this and it makes sense.

So I guess the easy question is what mod 1 spur gears work with the scx10 trans with a slipper eliminator?
If not, what 32 pitch (mod .8) gears work with it?
The only thing I found was some duratrax gear from a nitro truck. Back when I was racing Robinson Racing sold spur gears with several hole patterns in them to work with different cars but I can't seem to find anything like that.
The whole thing is going to be more of a basher than a crawler so I need a smaller spur than a crawler.
END EDIT:
I have a few questions.
I am back into the hobby after a long hiatus and need some gearing advice.
I did lots of research but since I am making a frankenstein I can't seem to nail down what I need.
I have an SCX10 transmission with a slipper eliminator. Not sure of the brand, but it has a plastic hub the slipper bolts to. That hub has 3 locating pins that go into the spur, which is held on with three bolts.
I am using a Mamba 2650 with a 5mm shaft.
The trans has a 48 pitch spur (something i am familiar with from back in the day) but I need beefier gears.
SOOO, since I pulled the motor out of a Mad Force I bought used, it has MOD 1 gears, which if I understand is NOT 32 pitch.
I can find mod1 pinion gears with a 5mm bore but I can't seem to find any spur gears that would work with this trans and the slipper eliminator.
What do I need to be looking for?
I would like to stay with mod 1 so I can put the MMM back into the Mad Force if I want and not have to buy new pinions.
But in the end it seems to be coming down to the spur gear choices for the SCX10 trans. That's my focus right now.
Any ideas?
I do have a few traxxas trucks with an assortment of their spurs and read somewhere you can use a traxxas slipper on the axial trans but I don't see how that would work. But I also don't have the axial slipper to reference.
I bought the trans used so I don't have the slipper parts if that makes a difference. I did buy new steel gears and an aluminum case for it though.
If this post is too long for a typical forum post let me know. I will revise any others I do.
I don't know what typical forum etiquette is.
Thanks!
