Questions about going 1.9

Hey guys. every time i see the 1.9s on here it makes me want to make mine 1.9. Now as far as switching I think I have a general idea of what I need to do but I think I might be missing something. What axles and links do you guys recommend? What shocks? and are there any mods to be made to the drivelines, skid or trans? Oh can are you bale to switch back and forth between 2.2 and 1.9?

I also thought the same . I think you can swap back and forth with axle . If you keep scud axles on I think the 2.2 tires will rub the body . It would be good for g6 . Just my two cents

You can simply swap in SCX10 axles & make some minor adjustments to the links to correct the pinion angle (assuming you already have links with Revo style ends), that will allow you to change back very easily later.
That will probably look a little goofy with that long a wheelbase though, they definitely look better with the wheelbase pulled back in nearer 12-12.5" so that will need shorter links, generally a little shorter in the rear than the front just to align the rear ale with the body a bit better.
At least that's what I did with mine the first time I did it.

I know others have done theirs much the same & been perfectly happy with it, I disliked mine, the big skid hung on everything & it didn't climb worth a cent with the short links, mine lasted about 2 months & I changed back to AR60/2.2

What I've done since is made a set of my own rails so I could bolt in an SCX10 skid & links & I like this much more. Other than being slightly more top heavy it now handles basically like an SCX10, with a sway bar in the rear it even handles at speed ok & I used it as a kind of all round trail/crawler/U4 rig.
