so in the last few weeks my family has purchased three yeti's. two new and one used. as i am the one talking to you ans requesting help i should say you can guess who got the used one. now my wasnt actually beat to hard when i got it. some wear and tear but pretty fair shape. ball joints and links fit loose but fair shape. now i did upgrade a few things and this is where my problem arised. i changed, unwisley all at once, the transmitter and reciever, the steering servo, and added the 2 speed kit, also adding a servo for it. the transmitter and reciever. i changed these to a spektrum dx4c and a srs4210. both capable of avc. i disabled the avc for throttle control and to the best of my knowledge the steering control/correction can not be turned off. the steering servo got changed to a older spektrum digital and im not sure which off the top of my head right not. the shift servo is also a hitec digital as the srs4210 burns servos if they are not digital. the way it comunicates with them somehow. this i can say it does as we learned the hard way. no this brings me to my problem. the vehicle seems to shut done after a short period of time. its showing an overtemp shutdown but its not hot. it always does it while turning. or trying to turn. if i try to take off while trying to turn it just sits and hums and gurgles the motor then shuts down. its almost as if the bec in the esc is going out and its shutting the whole car down when it tries to send power to the motor. can anyone say anything on this matter? ive been thinkking on just changing out to a sidewinder esc. its the same exact thing on mine. i know the new yetis dont allow throttle curves and things in the esc programming. my was old enough it does..doesnt like it but allows it.
any info on this. i believe ours is just the 1415 motor also.

I have been through all of that myself.

The avc on the spektrum rx can fully disabled, but it requires going through the binding process using two bind plugs, as per the manual.

If you are using the factory esc, I expect that the servos are drawing too much power, and you need to install an external bec or switch out to a more capable esc.

Or, one of the servos is problematic, and that will feed back into the rx and create similar symptoms.

Sounds like the thermal shutdown is actually a BEC overload with those two servos drawing more power than the ESC can provide.

Start with an external BEC and go from there.

thats what i was thinking. the esc never really gets hot but it does shutdown so i did figure it was the bec. itll have one on soon. i just needed some assurance that i was headed in the correct direction.
