Compared to regular scx10 straight axles - how much lower is the gear ratio in these?
and are these more wide than regular scx10 axles

Stock, the portal gears alone drop it an extra 1.92:1 (12/23 portal gears)... There's lots of gearing options, though.

I'm using a D44 (vs4-10/scx10 ii) front and scx10 iii portal rear. Underdrive diff gears in the front, and 14/21 OD portal gears in the back brings it to roughly the 30% OD range, overall.

The widths aren't noticeably different, but I just threw a tape on it. The scx10 iii Axle is about 1/4" wider than the D44.
