Parma.......???????

Parma paint is Createx so there is no difference on lexan or otherwise.

I found Cretex at Hobby Lobby in a bigger assortment of colors for less money than the Parma paint at my LHS.

Parma itself closed up shop due to some divorce issue. I've heard that it was settled or somebody bought them as Parma products are slowly returning to stores.

That was my thinking as Wicked is also createx.
I do love Parma’s masks

I've shot Wicked and auto air on styrene, with mixed results. However I did my research and I've discovered using 4030 AND reducer. This solves most of my problem areas, so I've ordered a batch from Coast Airbrush and testing will begin soon. I still have some wicked in the shop, I will try it with the 4030 intercoat clear binder.

I found where all of Parma's paint went.

Interesting...
Still no earth tones, military, or scale colors though.

We have a coast airbrush just down the street here...maybe I'll go see what they have for painting lexan. I can't figure out why we can't get Tamiya to pack some of their TS colors in PS. [shrug]

Yeah, kinda hard to get excited when it’s all the same generic selection as other manufacturers.

Let me know if you find anything for lexan. I'd like to give airbrushing a shot sooner or later.

I use Coast for my autoair and createx.
I’ve been told no advantage in decanting the PS paints, as they spray the best from the can. I played a bit more today with the 4030 added in. I shot on the outside of a non roughed lexan scrap, interested in the bonding and flaking when cured

I commented on the other thread too, but I'm reiterating it again here in the hopes that someone that matters will see it - BRING US SOME NEW COLORS!

Vintage colors and earthtones, pastels, military shades, primer gray and red oxide.

Damnit!

(rant over)

Seriously! I really want to buy Proline's 1978 C10 body, but it just has to be "root beer brown" with "desert tan" running down the middle. I can't believe nobody makes lexan paint colors that are even close to that.

One word. Adherto........ look it up on Google fu .
Add Adherto to any HOK color, works well on lexan.

I'm guessing it's the same as Bulldog or other adhesion promoter and flex agent. It's used for all the plastic on cars these days. I'll have to give it a try.

HOK is all auto colors, no? Lots of metallics. And $35/ color?

Acrylic auto paint works reasonably well. Pretty spendy tho.

HOk is the most custom color line available . No need to buy quarts, 2 or 4 oz is usually enough. I love the pearls in the HOK lineup.
2oz is priced at 8.99, bit more than Tamiya, but it’s quality paint.

I suspect it’s the same as bulldog, I’ve always used Adherto
