Rock Stacker
Open House event for RC oval racing, crawling hopefully even off road racing at the new Lonesome Valley RC Park in Canterbury, NH. Dates are July 5th and 6th.
Friday afternoon/evening (5-ish) is mainly for oval racing, with Crawling during the day starting around 10-ish and off road racing afterwards.
That's the thinking anyways. One is welcome to use the oval and off road tracks while the crawling comp is happening. As far as using the crawling course on Friday or early Saturday, you can, but only in select parts. Can't have people learning the entire course in advance now, can we?
The address is 13 Scales Road, Canterbury, NH 03224. If your GPS tells you to use Schoolhouse Road, ignore it and go New Road instead.
Admission is free. Yes free. Mainly looking to make it a fun event for everyone, and to get feedback from participants on how and where the park can be improved for future events. Of course, donations will be accepted
Already have a few guys that will be camping. More are welcome. We will have a porta-potty handy, along with running water from a garden hose. You're welcome to take a shower from the garden hose 8)
You are advised to bring your own tables and chairs, along with any food you want to eat. We will have a grill available for those who want to cook something. Depending on the size of the crew camping, we could order pizza for Friday night.
I can have a generator running for those wanting power.
For the oval and off road racing, there will be no computer lap counting. So any racing would be impromptu. Challenge others and have at it, and have fun. The oval course is 39' inside to inside of the ends, so expecting laptimes to be in the 5-5.5 second range. Hoping to run mudbosses running rubber tires (similar to RC Excitement rules)
For the crawl event, it will be judged by those participating and/or volunteers. Each entry will run the course 3 times. The 1st run thru will be easy on the penalties, and the 2nd run being a bit more severe. The 3rd run will be as severe as the 2nd round, but with a twist.
While we certainly welcome all classes of rigs, just know the crawl course is designed for mainly stock rigs running 1.9 wheels and 4.75 tires. Yes, the slide in the pics is part of the course
Any questions, feel free to post.
If you're wanting to participate, please post!
