Starts at Noon. This is being put on by a couple other TORRCC members. They tell me that they will get me some more details to post soon.

I went and ran at the spot they have picked out and its pretty good.

Link to the area... Zoom in to the destination. Drag the map south a little ways to where the maintenance road loops around. Its the brown rocky area down there with the trails leading downhill in all directions.

Hey Sean
I think I will wait and come to Topeka for this. I think Flynt will be able to on this weekend so we can team up. "thumbsup"

Hi guys, I am new to crawling, as in I bought my first rig the other day, I'm not sure if anyone would like to be on a team with me with me but I am available on the 9th. Also will details be posted here and how does it all work?
Thanks

Colbstromer I will try to get details here but I'm not putting this on myself. I dont think the guys who are promoting this are RCC members. If you are on facebook follow the link I put in my post above. Send a request to join the TORRCC page and you can get all the details there.

We will be glad to have you attend and you should be able to find a partner on there.

Excellent. I'm not on Facebook unfortunately, but do you think it would be okay if I just showed up and found a teammate or do you know of anyone that is without a teammate I could private message?

I'm really not sure. I'll mention on the page that someone here is looking for someone. I know things will be okay if you show up without one. The people putting it on are willing to function as an odd man out instead of teaming with each other.

What kind of rig did you get? And welcome to the hobby!

Awesome, well I will stay up to date on this thread and show up there on November! And thank you, I bought a used rig but it is a 2.2 with berg v1 axles and a secret agent chassis. I am super stoked, it's actually on its way in the mail right now but I am excited to get it out on the rocks.

I probably wont be at this or I'd offer to team up! I'll be outta town to attend "training" for my new job...

I'm pretty new to this whole thing but it's good to know I have a good rig for it. What's everybody you (and everyone else) running?

Most folks have scale rigs...as in rigs that resemble real trucks. Axial scx-10s are real popular and so are Ridgecrests and Wraiths. Some folks run custom rigs with axial drive trains too. I think I'm going to use my leaf spring'd RC4wd Trail Finder 2 with 1.55 tires for a good challenge.

Topekacrawls: I am pretty excited, got a few more little things to work up but I am excited to bust out my comp crawler out there.

This was posted earlier on TOPEKA OFF Road CLUB FACEBOOK.
Ok here it is a week away get ur rigs ready and here is some the rules so u can be ready.*Doin this from phone so bare with me*This is team crawl so plz bring a teammate or come and make a new friend as some people will need one also.*This is team crawl so help ur teamate flip back over or up hill however u*can bump or hookup chain rope or ? If u use hand or feet of god u will get points and it will be a lot.*Deck ur rig out u carry spare parts on ur rig u will get less points for it. So let's say I snap a drive shaft on my scx I have one on my rig or partner that 1 point or if I take one out my bag that's 25 points.*Were tryin to base this all like a real trail run so let's do this*Winches , and sand rails extra will get used and this is good trail*As stand as for classes there is 1.9 ,2.2, and open class*If u and ur partner are diffrent class u will be bumped to higher class*Will be more on site rules but putting these out here so everyone knows that I would recommend that u get ur rigs setup with spare parts that u commenly break

That sounds good. It looks like you can show up and be matched up no problem. Looking forward to a little competition this weekend!!
