Hi,
Curious if anybody else has experienced this situation.
I am running a Hobbywing 880 esc and a Spektrum DX5C transmitter on a stock motors Clod on 3S batteries. On the last pack (have run 2 or 3 though it) I lost reverse about half way through a pack.
I needed to some some other maintenance so while I had it down I ran through the settings on ESC, confirmed reverse was activated and ran through the transmitter settings to confirm I didn't accidentally enable a reverse cutoff but didn't see one for locking out reverse.
I asked around on a couple of FB groups and the only response I got was that the receiver was probably shot. Before I reached out to AMain or Spektrum directly, I wanted to confirm if this makes sense. Im not electronics expert by any means but confused how the receiver break in such a way to only stop reverse from working. The lights blink on the esc when I put it in reverse so it seems like its trying to react. Since I'm running the stock motors on a 4500 50C 3S pack I cant imagine I overheated/fried the esc but I guess that makes as much sense as the receiver.
Update:
Did some more thinking on how to trouble shoot and ended up hooking up the front steering and 880 esc to the receiver on my daughter's TRX4 and both worked normal. When I tried the reverse of that plugging the TRX stuff into the SR515 receiver I couldnt get anything to funtion with the spektrum radio. Not sure it wanted to be programed or not but am going to reach out to AMain on getting a return.
