Next Year's Club Officers

Remember that we will be taking nominations for next years club officers at the Season Wrap Up Event. Sept 26th at HobbyTown.

We will discuss the specifics during this meeting, but I believe that there is a need for more than two officers and a treasurer.

If you are unable to attend, please send your thoughts / ideas / and nominations to me via email.

When the ballots are ready I will send them out via email so that everyone will have a chance to vote. I do not want this limited only to those in attendance. I want everyone to have a voice even if they cannot attend this event.

This is the same information that I posted on the club website a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to make sure that everyone saw it.

Here are my thoughts on potential club officers for next year.
These are not set in stone, they are just ideas.
Please give your thoughts or comments these ideas.

President:
Shall preside at all meetings, and shall conduct them in a respectable and orderly manner. Shall be open to any and all suggestions made by Full Members. Shall have the duties of carrying out the policies and decisions agreed upon by the majority of Club members. Shall work to increase Club membership. Shall maintain and encourage good relationships with other RC Rock Crawler clubs.

Vice President:
Shall assist the President and act in his/her absence. Shall be responsible for conducting the selection of trail runs, comps and other events. Shall be the contact person for all comps, events, and fundraisers. Shall maintain a current roster of club memberships. Shall work to increase Club membership. Shall maintain and encourage good relationships with other RC Rock Crawler clubs.

Trail Boss:
Shall be the primary person responsible for scheduling of upcoming events. Shall schedule these events in cooperation with other club officers. Shall announce these events on the club website and calendar. Shall be repsonsible for ensuring that needed supplies (ie. stopwatches, gatemarkers, etc) are present at the event. Shall be the Marshall of each judged event. If they are unable to attend an event, it will be there responsibility to appoint another member to act in their place.

Secretary:
Shall maintain a written record of all Club meetings. Shall have the minutes typed and available to all club members within five days of each meeting. Shall update changes to the By-Laws and present those changes at the next meeting for final approval. Shall maintain a complete collection of the meeting minutes from all previous meetings. Shall maintain records of attendance at Club meetings, comps, and events. Shall send renewal notices to all members by December 31st. Shall maintain and encourage good relationships with other RC Rock Crawler clubs.

Treasurer:
Shall receive all membership dues and all other club receipts. Shall disperse authorized funds. Shall have a Treasurer’s report available at each Club meeting. Shall maintain and encourage good relationships with other RC Rock Crawler clubs.
