LoKo Rc speedway, a well established dirt oval track, at Frank Merry Park in Dunkirk Indiana, is expanding to include scale and Off road.

We are hoping to schedule a couple of non competitive events yet this fall, to gather interest and input from fellow off roaders.

Features we are looking to include,
- club membership, to have anytime access to the park and courses
-technical and competitive scale comp course, and events
-several miles of easily accessible g6 trails, and comps
-u4 course and events
- detailed scale structures and terrain
- over 1 (scale) mile of bridgework
-Goal for the record longest scale bridge

The park can also accommodate rc airplanes, heli's, boats.

And a family, fun, first mentality. Welcoming all ages and skillsets of rc'ers

Will update as we progress, and looking forward to this being one of the premiere rc off road venues on this side of the state.

Loko RC Speedway is having a fun run/work day, to try and get some more cleanup and course build work done.

The date is Sat. Nov. 17, starting at 10 a.m.
We will be providing a hot dog and chip lunch for anyone that attends.

Looks like it should have plenty of room to build a great course!

Dunkirk is over by ohio border, northern part of state?

Eh... we consider it east central Indiana area. Probably 15-20 miles inside the state line.

Well folks, all went well with the Park Board meeting at Yorktown. They are excited to have us. They are willing to help as well. First, they are not only willing to share the ground, they also are providing gate flags(thanks to Tim Caldwell and his persuasion tactics.....500 flags)and will carry us on their advertising including some radio air time. We have a few red tape details to work out, but nothing major, nothing to hold us up. So it's official......Yorktown Trail Park presented by Indiana RC Crawlers. And believe this.....the board insists Indiana RC Crawlers in the name! Protects them from 1:1 rigs that might take interest and in full support of our group.
So, a year ago, around central Indiana, we had to drive sometimes half a day to attend a comp. A year later we are going to have a minimum of 4 places to truck. We have Anderson Extreme RC Park, Loko RC Park, Yorktown Trail Park and for any weather, any season Hobbytown North Crawl Spaces. And on a short drive, not to forget Creekside Trails.(Lucas Banks) one other I know of but I don't know much about, The Hill.

With all this, what a summer to come!! A lot of trucking opportunities, just about every weekend at one place or another. I hope your rigs are up and ready!

Schedule for YTP will be posted later today. First date set for April 20th, details later today.

Please post some pics or links to where we can find pics of these places. I do have one question, is the Loco RC air field AMA affiliated?

Looks like some closer wheeling. Outstanding. Ive got a new class 3 in the works.

No, it is not AMA affiliated. It's just an open field within the park. Best I can do picture wise right now will be aerial images fromGoogle. As we are just getting going hosting events we are short on content, hopefully that will change in the coming months.
