2016 New England Monster Showdown - May 14-15 - Fort Wetherill, RI
Welcome to the Event Page for the New England Monster Showdown, Powered by Castle Creations. The goal of this event is simple, get the best crawlers together for a great event in Rhode Island with the Biggest Driver payout to date. If my history lessons are correct we may have surpassed that mark, as of January 24th we will have $3000 to give out to the top 8 Drivers in the 2.2 Mod competition class (Assuming we get 40 registered Comp Drivers).
The 2.2 Mod Comp class is the Headline Class for this event but we will also be hosting 2.2S, 1.9 Mini, Super, and Scale 2.2 and 1.9 classes.

This will get you damn close, but follow the road to the end and find parking. See map for details and secondary parking if needed.
!!!Due to regulations with the park and insurance the number of "day of" signups will be limited. If you want to be sure you get a spot please register by May 11th!!!
Because The 2.2 Mod class is the headline class we may choose to switch Saturday/Sunday Comp classes in the event of poor weather, it will not be switched for any other reason. Trail classes will remain on Sunday even if Comp classes switch days.
Driver registration for 4 comp classes is $50 total. It is the same price whether you run 1 class or 4 (Consider it as buy in to Mod class, get the rest for free).
Half of the fee from the Comp Class driver registration will go to the Mod Class top 8 Driver prize support
Scale class is $15 for one class or $20 for both.
Top 3 Drivers in all classes will be awarded trophies. 2.2 Mod Comp Class will be awarded Driver Prize Support only. All participants will be included in the sponsor gear giveaway!!!
(If you are interested in sponsoring/supporting this and we have not spoken there is time to get involved shoot me a pm.)
Accommodations
There is a block of rooms for RCORVA at the Mainstay Hotel, 2 bed rate is $153/n Single King is $163/n
They will keep our room block until March 31st, so you have a little time if you are on the fence.
There are many other hotels in the area if you want something else but they were starting to get full last time I checked, act quick.
There are also quite a few house rental options if you have a few guys that want to go in on it, Check VRBO.com or Homeaway.com
Please take note that there are 2 separate registration threads, one for Comp Class vehicles and one for Scale vehicles (the link to comp registration is below). I was hoping to avoid 2 separate registration pages but because the pricing structure is significantly different this was the only way to keep it clean.
