Posted about this in my build thread in the 1.9 forums but I thought this might get more visibility here. Basically I bought this no name vaporware all aluminum crawler chassis to play with. It has a lot of really questionable design decisions which is part of it's charm :lmao: One of which is the mount for the spur gear. My Axial units use a 3 hole mounting pattern. On the old plastic spur gears the Axial mounts to the outside set of holes. But this transmission uses a 4 hole pattern (in the shape of a +) and lines up with the inside set of holes on the Axial spur gear. Trying to measure the spur gear mounted probably isn't the best way to do it but the mounting pattern is about a 16mm diameter equally spaced. I've shown the 80t plastic axial gear mounted up. Only 2 of the 4 holes align. I need more spur so I'm looking for options. The 87t Axial would of course work. I could probably add the missing holes on the plastic one pretty easy.
Did I mention questionable design decisions? The Axles are geared 2:1 so I'm looking for as much spur gear as I can handle. Since I don't have a cover to worry about like on my Axial transmissions I can go bigger. Something that will bolt up without breaking out the drill press would be ideal. Looking for some ideas on other spur gears I might try out that could possibly bolt up besides the plastic Axial units.
