I wanted to share with you my CC. It was my first crawler and it has been a blast for all the more it cost. I didn't do any build photos, but just wanted show it off a little before I gut it. I am planning on using the motors and esc on another build, and basically put the stock stuff back in it. I replaced all of the diff gears with the metal ones and used the ball bearing upgrade. I installed all of the Duratrax optional upgrade alloy parts. I do not recommend the links. They break very easy at the threaded ends. I installed Holmes cobalt motors, RC4WD ESC, RC4WD 3ch crawler radio, and Vennom metal gear servos. I definately enjoyed the build, but had alittle bit of buyers remorse after spending all that money on a rig that is not a serious comp competitor. With the money I spent in just the DTX hop ups I could of bought a 2.2 kit. O-Well it gave me some good experience in builds and would of done it again. Thanks for looking!

Sorry I haven't figured out how to post a pic on this site yet.

Upload the pictures to photobucket or tinypic then copy and paste the

I see you have a star, you should just be able to click on the paperclip at the top of the message window and attach from you computer.

I got the star so that I could post pics, plus I love this forum and wanted to support it, but now it tells me my file is too big.

You will need to resize your pics, I need to do that too. Open your picture with Microsoft Paint or a similar program that will allow you to resize and you may have to shrink the pic as far as 25% of the original size. Hope this helps.

Thanks, now I can post my pics. Since these pics were taken, I tore it down and started putting it together on a RCP Bastard Chassis. I will post some pics of it too.

This rig has been torn down, and sitting around for several months. I hated seeing all that stuff just sitting in a box,so I decided it was time to do something with it. I was inspired by an article in Radio Control Rock Crawler. I picked up a Havoc Chassis and skid, and some Axial Links. I had a Proline VW body, a set of chisels, and a set of Axial bead locks. I put it all together and it is a very capable crawler. It is one of my favorite rigs.

Thanks Guys,I appreciate it. We have a comp coming up on the 22, If I can get it dialed in,in time, I am going to run it.

Looks really good, make sure you post up your comp results. Curious to see how it does against some other comp rigs.

It was pretty much all bolt on. The only thing I had to do was clearance the link mounts for the motors.
