Hey guys. I'm new the forum and the hobby and wanted to share what I've been working on. I started with a stock Element Enduro Sendero RTR I picked up from The Crawl Space South (local RC crawler shop) about a month ago and have been working on upgrading a lot on it. I am building it into a scale 1.9 Jeep Comanche hardbody rig.

Upgrades I've already done:
  • Injora Jeep Comanche Hardbody - I painted it forest green with black accents
  • RC4WD 100mm King Piggyback shocks - Set-up with 50wt and I put a groove in the cap threads and they run amazingly
  • Injora front bumper
  • Dilwe rear bumper
  • Injora bed mounted metal roll cage
  • Scale CB antenna
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger action figure - Driver

Upgrades on order (waiting for shipments that have been delayed due to the pandemic)
  • Xtra Speed metal shock hoops
  • RCLion CNC bumper mounts
  • Burnt Orange GoolRC Metal 1.9" Beadlock Wheel Rim

At this stage, I've already painted the hardbody, but then drove it hard and am now in the process of sanding down the hardbody to repaint to have it built with all of the upgrades. I didn't do a good job photo documenting all the upgrades as I put them in; however, I do have some pretty solid progress shots I'll post below.

Here is a set of images I took after painting the hardbody the first time (before I scratched the hell out of it driving it). This is prior to most upgrades I've done, but you can see the bumper upgrades.

The roll cage and CB antenna. I have not yet installed the 4 lights on top of the roll bar yet, I need to come up with a solution to better protect them from rollovers before I attach them:

Now to the break down to repaint. This is it's current state, I will begin sanding it here this evening.

Can't leave out a couple images of those purdy King Shocks:

I will post more progress pictures as I take them!

HURRY! GET TO THE CHOPPAH!

Love this.

Update: Got the green paint done, but the dog chewed up my painters tape, so I have to get some more before I can start taping off for the black accents. I hope hardware stores are considered "essential businesses" to the Colorado "shelter-in-place" order.

Paint the dog. Just give him a racing stripe or two.

Next update, I made some serious progress over the weekend. My new wheels and my metal hoops arrived and I got the paint all done and the body reassembled. My wheel weights and new metal bumper mounts are supposed to arrive today. I will post pictures as soon as I find a new image hosting solution, photobucket is absolute garbage.

New hoops, they're about 10mm taller than the stock ones, I have not decided if I am going to use them yet or not, because that 10mm also means the body will sit that much higher, because the bed of the truck is already resting on the stock shock tower.

Body reassembled and testing the fit, what do you all think of the orange wheels with the green body? (Also, I didn't do a great job with the clear coat, i should have switched out cans, so disregard any drips you might notice. I am getting better haha)

Well, those images didn't work, I did them directly from Google photos and it worked fine yesterday, now they're gone. Anyone know a good alt to photobucket?
