Most Usefull Dremmel Series, and Where To Buy????????

Dremel is not sold in Japan ...At the moment I am shopping for a Circular Multi Purpose tool and all they have at my Local Hardware is this brand Roxxon
http://www.progresstool.com/pd_proxxon_mm50.cfm
this model as seen in the link for $36 is about $75 in Japan ...blind rip off really:x
Can someone please direct me to a link on a good Dremel deal or something like it?

Try rakuten.co.jp to find the best price. And Dremel IS sold in Japan, but seems to be considered as junk compared to the German Proxxon (who is known to have sold Towa-Brand Mill and Lathe under his own name in Europe).

Here for some Dremel online seller:

At worse you can order at Tokyu Hands, delay is short (3-4 days).

I had a Dremel shipped over from the states, but if I were doing it again I'd go with Proxxon. Don't know about quality issues, I've never had bad experiences with Dremel but I understand that Proxxon is the standard in Europe. The reason I'd advise you to go with Proxxon is because it is the standard here. All of the shafts you'll find in Japan are just a hair too small for the standard Dremel chuck, which means you'll need to make sure you order one of their medium size chucks also. Make that two, since you just dropped the only one you have down the drain while changing to a Dremel-made grinder bit. At the hardware store in the states, it replaces for about 50 cents, here there is international shipping and a two week delay (even if you've got friends or family out in Dremel-land) to your project. Dremels do list cheaper than Proxxon sells for, but if you (or your wife) can do a bit of Yahoo Auction shopping, you should be able to get things a bit more reasonably than at Tokyu Hands, and once you figure in the international shipping for the Dremel...

just my 2 yen
