Does anyone run an mks servo? Are they any good?

The specs seems pretty good for X5 HBL550 brushless titanium gear servo. $99

Specifications:

  • Torque:
    • @6.0V: 402 oz-in
    • @7.4V: 499 oz-in
    • @8.4V: 527 oz-in
  • Speed:
    • @6.0V: 0.117 s
    • @7.4V: 0.094 s
    • @8.4V: 0.085 s
  • Weight: 79.5 g
  • Dimension: 40x20x38.5mm
  • Working Voltage: 3.5 ~ 8.4 V (2S LiPo unregulated)
  • Working frequency: 1520μs / 333Hz
  • Dead Band: 0.001 ms (Default)
  • Bearing: 2BB
  • Motor: Brushless Motor
  • Gear: Alloy gear

For the money I'd go with the tried and true ProModeler 470oz-in.

Or, a little more and go for the Holmes SHV500 and not need a BEC - powered directly of main LiPo (2S thru 4S).

I have 640oz Servo from JX. Its called Brushless digital 46KG titanium. Price is pretty good around 50 bucks, works like a beast
