Mileage/Battery...?

I have been running a Blazer TRX4 for a few years now and absolutely love it for going on trail walks/hikes with the wife. 2s 6200 packs last forever and easy to carry a spare.

Than being said, the SCX6 seems like a total hoot, especially for some of the more rocky trails we walk. More similar to scale trail wheeling.

What kind of mileage are people getting with these, and with what battery? Not comp crawling, not just shooting hills, but basic hiking...?

Thanks Ross

I crawled this morning with two 2S 6200mah packs in series for about an hour and a half and still had to put the batteries on storage mode for about an hour and a half to get down to the correct voltage. If I had to guess, you should get about 2-3 hours out of 5-6000 mah battery.

Weight wise, does the SCX6 have an ideal battery for the stock tray? would the 15,000mah 3s be too much, let alone 2 of them.

Thanks Ross

Mine works just fine with 2 of the 15000 batteries. Weight wise I think I think I'm at about 30 pounds with batteries. With the size of the rig I don't think the larger batteries hinder the ability of the ride and I would think having 2 is better b/c it evenly distributes the weight.

I would agree that balanced weight is better than less weight.

2 15,000mah 3s, is still an absurd amount of battery for me, ha. But when you clock in at 30lbs, it is probably what is required...

Thanks Ross

Yeah 15Ah battery would be pretty crazy for me too, but you gotta run what you brung.

I can get roughly 45 minutes out of a 3s 5Ah battery. Everything should scale (10Ah battery lasts 2x as long). I usually slap two of those in then carry a couple extras in my backpack and can do a 3-4 hour hike without a problem.
