micro dig servo?

I am having hell of a time finding a micro dig servo, i went through 3 spektrum 6v sx107's already, and my 2nd eco power 6-8.4v ecp-827 is about to die.
I'm running them at 7v and 8.4v, i ran the sx107's at stock 6v, tried 7v once and popped it instantly

I'm having hell of an inconsistent dig in the scx10iii anyone have any suggestions? was hoping the ecp-827 at 7 or 8v would help being 2.7kg.
i decided to just lock it out for now, but seems like such a waste, locked out 2 speed and dig because micro servo's seem to blow, wtf is the point in this transmission than?!
Is there something I'm missing that can make this x10iii dig work better?

I've got 3 of these, for shifting duties.

My buddy's SCX-10 II has eaten three 2-speed servos. I loathe micro servos. I managed to bodge a full-size servo in there for shifting duties. $14, and absolutely no problems. We're still trying to figure out where to mount a full-size servo to run the dig.

Aside from the AGFRC A20CLS, or the same-servo-painted-a-different-color-but-its-way-more-expensive Reefs 99, I haven't found a micro servo up to the task of dig duty. Meanwhile, a $14 low-profile JX (full-size) from Amazon will work flawlessly.

I've seen pics of an SCX-10 III fitted with a typical 3-gear trans, Hurtz dig, and full-size servo. If the one here wasn't on a low-Kv motor, we'd probably convert it.

yeah i have been debating just swapping for a 3gear+hurtz, i feel like this scx10iii transmission is probably most of the problem i am having.

The 107 at 6v has been bulletproof for me over the last year. It digs all three positions. Short throws need proper setting of the sub trim and EP.

yeah i have set the end points, i even set it to 120% in a direction of enabling the dig and it still cannot shift into it consistently (i can move it with my finger extremely easy it is not bound), and dont get me into disabling dig gets stuck constantly only way to fix is to reverse a bit... can anyone tell me the problem with this?! (rhetorical)

Im using a power hd tr-4 for the dig in my capra. No servo save, just set the endpoints. Running it at 7.4v and no problems yet.

On the Capra at least, I think the "reverse a bit" is normal. I do it both putting in and out of dig. Keep in mind, dig and 2 speed toy truck assemblies don't have synchronized gears.
