I figured I would start a thread to chronical my modded up TRX-4 Sport kit build for others to follow. As you will see my addiction is real...

Here is a list of the parts I have or are in route at this moment.

TRX-4 Sport kit
BowHouse RC TRX-4 High Clearance Skid
Samix Traxxas TRX-4 Aluminum Front Shock Plate (Grey)
Samix Traxxas TRX-4 Aluminum Rear Shock Plate (Grey)
ST Racing Concepts Aluminum Front Bumper Mount (Gun Metal)
SSD RC 8 Hole 1.9” Steel Beadlock Wheels (Black)
Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster Sport 550 Brushed Motor (21T)
Hobbywing QuicRun WP1080 Brushed Crawling ESC
Traxxas 8196 TRX-4 Two Speed Conversion Kit
Traxxas TRA8249 Slipper Eliminator Plate
Traxxas Over and Under Gear Sets
GRC High Clearance Small C's/Inner Portal Cover's w/Ackerman Upgrade Kit
Brass Portal Drive Housing/Counterweight Balance Weight's 104g
Yeah Racing Aluminum Servo Mount
Savox SA-1230SG Steering Servo
Hot Racing Aluminum Servo Horn
Castle Creations 10amp BEC
Holmes RX Bypass Adapter
Traxxas 8072 Inner Fenders
SMC 1500mAh 3s mini battery's
Scorpion Battery Lock Strap Set

And probably more that I've forgotten from my late night compulsion driven spending sprees.

I'm thinking the body will be painted a Purple/Green Iridescent color.

I'll be flipping the front bumper mounts and using the flipped stock front bumper mount in the rear. The sliders will also be raised about 15mm.

More to come... "thumbsup"

Your addiction is real! Great list of upgrades. Can't wait to see the build process.

Following and "Liked""thumbsup"

Thanks guys. I still have a few things to get for it.

I'm trying to decide on which tire foams I should run. I was thinking some Crawler Innovations Lil Nova 4.50" Crawler Foam w/Comp Cut Inner's but I'm not sure which firmness to get. I'm thinking med for the front and firms for the rear but they might be too stiff for best performance.

I'll be using the stock tires with cut and siped tread for now.

Your input or suggestions would be great. "thumbsup"

I'm a big believer in CI foams for most tire set ups with the exception of Ottsix Voodoo tires that seem to work the best with Voodoo foams do to their superior sidewall design.

I wound up buying some Proline Hyrax tires for my Sport and ordering CI soft and med lil nova comp foams for it.

The tires from my Sport will wind up on my Defender with CI med comp foams in the front and firms in the rear I'm thinking.

The last of my parts are due to arrive soon so I'll be starting assembly shortly.

Ooh.. a fellow addicted..
Looking forward to follow this one [emoji108]

Dude you really went all out! Definitely will be using your upgrade list to see what I may want to pick up for my build. As if I needed to spend more money on it haha

Nice list but i have an advice for you. I had Traxxas 8072 inner fenders but since my TRX4 underwent a serious weight reduction i cut the front tray and the part of the fenders where it mounts and installed it using zip ties:

Also the panhard mount is very weak so you better get an aluminun one, i used this ones:

CNC Machined Aluminum Front Shock Tower/Panhard Mount TRX-4 (1 pair) Black
