Mamba X/Tekin ROC412HD Sensor not working

I have a Mamba X and a Tekin ROC412HD 2300kv setup in my GS02F. I noticed that it chatters a lot when starting off, and started checking wiring. I found that the connector on the motor end for the sensor cable had a broken wire, so I ordered a new Castle direct sensor cable and installed that on Saturday. The truck still chatters along terribly at low speeds. I checked all the settings on the Mamba X using the PC software, and everything looks good. I then enabled the "Sensor lost alarm" and the Mamba X just consistently beeps with 3 short beeps, indicating that the sensor is not detected. Is there a way I can diagnose whether this is a motor failure or ESC failure? I have a few other sensored motors, but I really don't want to tear down another truck just to test with if I can help it.

Thanks.

do you have the 2 cables that plug in to each other or is the sensored wire 1 peice ive only ever used the 2.peice sensor cables with a momba but honestly i ciuldent tell if it was pluged in or not the motor was almost as smooth with out it as with it
maybe theres a special set up for tekin motor to play with castle escs

I ordered the one piece for the Mamba X. I have this exact setup in another truck with no issues. I don't recall having to do anything crazy to make it work either.

Right now, I think it actually works better with the sensor cable unplugged vs plugged in...

I'd try another sensor wire. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen a new one that was a dud.

2 out of the 3 sensor wires that came with my puller pros failed within a year. At least there fairly inexpensive.

They're finicky about moisture as well. Granted I live in a notoriously corrosion prone environment, but all me sensor connections get goobered with dielectric grease before and after being plugged in. Got a couple sensored trucks I submarine this way without any issues.

If it works better unplugged than I'd wager it must be the sensor wire, or the sensor board in the motor is bad.

I actually ordered 2 Castle Direct wires the other day. One of them is currently installed, and didn't seem to make a difference. I'll install the other one tonight and test. If it still doesn't work I guess I'll try to get Tekin to RMA it. I love dealing with customer support!!
