So out of pure boredum last night I figured I would build a rear sway bar and go for a little speed run with stock motor and some different gearing and HUGE tires, over 6" tall.

Motor: Stock Saturn 27T
Battery: Venom 3600 NiMH 7.2
Gearing: 24T pinion and 88T Blitz gear and slipper clutch
Tires: HPI GT (for the Savage)
GPS: Garmin 60CSx
Sway Bar: Bent coat hanger out of my closet :flipoff:

Heres the rear sway bar:

The motor and gearing and slipper clutch:

The GPS secured along side the frame plate: (use lots of zip ties)

I know 13.6 mph is not screaming fast, but for a mostly stock set up and huge heavy tires, I thought it was pretty fast. You sure can here those tires coming at you :)
Sway Bar worked great !! Kept me from rolling it over several several times !! In fact probably could use one in the front to keep it a little more stable while cornering at high speeds. Very simple to make....cut, bend and zip tie down....BAM done !!!

P.S.: Blitz slipper was smooth as silk !! Worked awesome, easy on drive train, no clicking, and very smooth over rough rutted terrain while accelerating !!
