Hi,
I'm new here, so I can't look in the classifieds for another 30 days, but I'm really desperate to find a decent crawler which doesn't cost me too much.

I found the Losi CC for £85, as a rolling chassis and was wondering how much it would cost to kit it out with everything it needs, including a servo for the DIG? I'm not worried about going brushless, I'm quite happy with a brushed motor.

Thanks in advance,
Toby

Pay the $20 to support the board and get a star. It's well worth it and will give you access to the classifieds. There was a comp ready LCC for sale yesterday.

Hi Toby,

You should be because the Losi Comp Crawler eats brushed motors for life with no regard to their well being whatsoever! Meaning you need to do a full on maintenance constantly. Take it from me, I choose to run brush motors in a LCC and they get dissected and maintained hourly and are not in great shape. And if you are expecting good performance from a brush motor, you gotta pay for a decent one as the low end motors just don't have the kick in the pants the inefficient Losi drivetrain needs from a motor.

Hi, I'm thinking of paying the $20 and getting a star, although I'd like to become active in the forum anyway so the only thing limiting me from not paying is time. I was wondering though, are many people willing to post to the UK? And if they are, how much is it likely to cost?

I'm thinking I might set my sites a bit lower if that's the case with the motors, and go for something that's quite happy with a brushed motor. I'm not planning on entering any comps, I'm just looking to drive it for fun.

I've seen the Exceed Maxstone, and to be honest it looks good enough for me, but the postage is literally as much as the crawler!
