Hi guys once again I need your help.
I'm looking for a good esc with break and preferably waterproof. I'm running a 27T axial brushed motor and I use a 6 cell 2400mah nicd battery pack.
What esc would you recomend that's easy to use and hook up and one that you guys have had good experience with?
And also wats a turbo bec and would I need one?
Thanks in advance

An option - sorta, would be to by a Traxxas blue XL-5 WP esc, and use a HPI gear reduction unit - if slowing it down is not a problem.

Just say no to Novak I would recommend Tekin rs line very reliable ESC
Although the tekin rs esc is one of the best out there, I think its a little overkill for the application. Am esc that functions nearly as well for that application could be had for a third the cost.

I'm guessing this is going in an ax-10? If u plan on sticking with brushless, you could always look at the Holmes hobbies br-xl. I just got one and replaced a waterproof xl-5, wow was it an upgrade. It is programable with a castle link, has a built in bec, and can handle up to 6s lipo. You can program throttle curves and adjust the drag brake on it. For crawling the xl-5 sucks, you have to double tap for reverse and has no brake except for the first tap into reverse. You can order one from www.holmeshobbies.com and get it waterproofed.

I'm putting it on a scx10. That holmes hobbies esc sounds good. And later on wen I save some money I would like to use a 3s lipo so good to hear it can handle it. Thanks everyone "thumbsup"
