hey guys I am new to rock crawling and just got a red cat rockslide super but i am also looking for somthing for trail runs like the land rover defender d90 or of the like but way less expensive like around the 200 range. any advice would be great. I can't wait to do some trail riding. Thanks

Welcome.
Not a lot of $200 options. Save another $100 and you will have plenty to chose from. Most kits start at $250 and the cheapest RTR I know of is $280. These are new. As for used browse the Bay or get to where you can get to the classifieds here.

what are the names of those around 280? also am i going to need to do anything to them to take them into mud or things like that? and if so what might those upgrades I need be?

Here is a semi scale trail / crawler Venom Safari Creeper Rock Crawler RTR It is pretty tough and you can waterproof the electronics. Look in the electronics section for tips. I used the CorrosionX route.
I do have a Venom Creeper that is a solid crawling platform. The Safari just has a different chassis.
I have more Axial cars than anything so browse the scale cars at this site.

OK that place is awesome. Has a lot of stuff there and good prices but they are out of the cheaper trail trucks xo you know anywhere else to get them for a low price? Also if I get one will there be any parts that I need to upgrade before taking it out? Thanks guys.

It's hard to go wrong with the Axial scx-10 platform. They have tons of aftermarket parts available, and are bullet proof.
They can also be customized pretty much however you want. (The Jeep in my avatar started as a Honcho)
